It stuns me that they don't have a better procedure to follow than this -- I mean...what if he HAD harmed you, or worse, killed you? You'd be injured or dead and *they* would be liable. In your shoes I'd have said, "NFW, man -- I'm not going to let you leave me alone with him. Are you nuts? Send an officer to stand guard and I'll be happy to get him patched up. Until then, I'll be in the lobby."<br /><br />I really am curious to know exactly what the protocol is...and why it was not followed...and maybe whose job it was to make sure it was followed?
